The invention of AI has transformed education and teachers need to respond to the new reality that we cannot rely on outdated assessment practices. Essays, reports, presentations and projects – how certain can we be that students are handing in their own work and not something generated by an Artificial Intelligence?
In order to maintain a diverse range of assessment tasks, along with the supportive practices of drafting time or creating notes, quote sheets, and topic breakdowns, teachers need to rethink the rigor of their assessments.
